Two days after his arrest, suspended UCPN (Maoist) lawmaker Lharkyal Lama rejected polygraph test on Tuesday.Polygraph test, also known as a lie-detecting test, helps determine if the tested person is lying or not through the monitoring of vitals including blood pressure and heart rate.Superintendent of Police Pradhyumna Karki, spokesperson for the Range, said Lama did not want to undergo the test. “Since he was not ready for the test, we did not force him,” said SP Karki.Nepal police introduced polygraph test in 2014 although the court does not accept its results.Meanwhile, the Com-mission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority and Nepal Police opened up another locker of Standard Chartered Bank, Lazimpat branch, used by Lama. -
